VICKIE A. JONES (VOCAL COACH)

Vickie Jones is a 1993 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Clark Atlanta University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, with a concentration in voice. During her matriculation at Clark Atlanta, she was a member of the Philharmonic Society where she was a featured soloist in several performances. She was also a member and Clarinet Section Leader of the Panther Marching Band and CAU Symphonic Band. Vickie was also active in many other organizations including Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society, Kappa Delta Epsilon Honor Society and Delta Sigma Theta Soriority, Incorporated.

After graduation, Vickie became a Music Educator with Barrow County School System where she was chosen as the representative for Barrow County for the Sallie Mae First Year Teacher Award. She was also one of the writers of the Music Curriculum for Barrow County,. During this time, Vickie also served as the Choir Director, Praise Team Leader and Director for a group she founded called "Youth For Christ" at Faith Gospel Christian Center in Athens, Georgia.

After moving to Decatur, Georgia in 1996, Vickie continued her teaching career with Dekalb County School system at a brand new school, Marbut Traditional Theme School. She taught general music and chorus and was the writer of the School Theme Song, "O, How We Love You Marbut". While teaching in Dekalb, Vickie also helped to write the Music Curriculum for Dekalb County Schools in 1998 and was a member of the Music textbook adoption committee.

Vickie, along with her husband, has written several plays and musicals for children kindergarten through sixth grade. Vickie is now the vocal coach and founder of Vision Music Works. She currently works with youth, teens and adults to help to enhance their talent for singing and their gift of music. She is also now the Auditions Coordinator and Vocal Coach for the Music Ministry at World Changers Church International and a member of the WCCI Choir.

Vickie is the wife of singer, songwriter, musician and producer William "Billy" Jones (also known as 'Mr. Jonz') and the mother of two young daughters, Kalen and Kamryn.
