Jason was introduced to formal dance training at an early age. It was soon discovered that he had natural talent and a deep love for performing. His technical training began at Brooklyn Heights Studios and Virella's Dance & Performing Arts where he was exposed to music and theatre.

After years of training and performing, he apprenticed under master teachers to become an instructor. He has taught at such notable studios as Fame International Academy, DeKalb School of the Arts, Virella's Dance & Performing Arts, Gotta Dance Studios, Infinite Dance Movement, Dance 411 Studious, and Chymes Dance Studio.

In 2002, he started his own dance company, Jason Croom Dance Theatre, for talented dancers ages 7 through adult who's dream is to dance professionally. JCDT is now one of Georgia's premier dance companies. JCDT repertoire includes Jazz, Contemporary, African, and various styles of Hip Hop. Company members have enjoyed roles in film, television, videos, stage, and more.

His exciting dance moves and unique style of choreography can be seen in performances where he opened for top recording stars such as Omarion, Marques Houston, Jagged Edge, Big Boi from Outcast, T.I., Egyptian Lover, Lloyd, Daron Jones of 112, and DUB Car Show to name a few. He is on the teaching roster of Darrin Henson's (Choreographer to the Stars) Dance Workshops and a resident teacher with ACT Conservatory of Drama & Theatre. A talented "artist developer", he is a much sought after choreographer for up and coming artists.

Recognized for his extraordinary talents, he is signed with Bloc South, the world's largest dance agency and Arden Talent Management.
